Quidditch is one of the most inclusive sports in the world - players can register as male, female, or non-binary, and the IQA (International Quidditch Association) recognises and welcomes people of all identities and genders.
USCQL is proud to have members of many diverse genders and sexualities, and we work closely with organisations like Amnesty International and the Sunshine Coast Pride Network to offer support to the LGBTQIA+ community.
In February 2018, to celebrate the passing of the same-sex marriage bill, USCQL and Amnesty International USC joined forces to design and release a Pride-themed jersey.
The jersey was sold all around the world, and in total raised over $800 for the Sunshine Coast Pride Network to help with the momentous work they do for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Sunshine Coast Pride
USCQL has attended many festivals, marches, and other events in support of the LGBTQIA+ community.
We believe in the importance of promoting and supporting the acceptance of people of all identities, especially under-represented groups like trans, intersex, and asexual people. We are proud to support the Sunshine Coast Pride Network, and look forward to collaborating with them in future endeavours.
